📝 Project
LESSON 24 OF 26
Project 2 — Website Redesign Case Study
Redesign, Research, Write It Up
Pick a real website with poor UX, research problems, wireframe improvements, design the solution in Figma, and write a case study.
📝 Project 2 Checklist — Website Redesign Case Study
Combines Lessons 14–18: research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing.
- The Problem: Pick a real website with a genuine UX issue (confusing nav, poor mobile layout, bad contrast, etc.) and explain the problem clearly.
- Research: Note at least 3 specific usability issues you observed, ideally backed by a quick usability test with 1–2 people.
- Wireframes: Show low-fidelity wireframes for your proposed improvements before jumping to visual design.
- Final Design: A polished Figma redesign of at least 2–3 key screens, addressing the problems identified.
- Write-Up: A short case study document — problem, process, before/after screenshots, and what you would test next.
Why this matters: This case study format is exactly what employers expect to see in a design portfolio.
