Lesson 8 — True/False/Not Given Cheat Sheet

Reading
In one line: TRUE agrees, FALSE contradicts, NOT GIVEN is simply absent from the text — and NOT GIVEN is never the same as FALSE.

Key Ideas

1TRUE. Statement agrees with the passage.
2FALSE. Statement contradicts the passage.
3NOT GIVEN. Passage doesn't mention it at all.
4Process. Read statement → scan keywords → read carefully → compare meaning.
5Ignore your own background knowledge — text only.
